ANSWERS:
1) Each photo that goes into a NayaCo designed album is color corrected to Normal. Any corrections other than color correction to normal are the responsibility of the photographer. For a photographer designed album, NayaCo prints the album files as uploaded by the photographer.
2) While albums produced by NayaCo can often arrive in as little as two weeks, we cannot guarantee delivery in that short a time. NayaCo does not offer a rush service.
3) NayaCo produces albums only for professional photographers, for resale to their customers. When NayaCo gets a request for albums from an individual who is not a professional photographer, we refer them to a NayaCo customer in their area.
4) Pricing for weddings and the components that make up a wedding package vary greatly from region to region. Because NayaCo serves the entire continental United States, we are not in a position to make retail pricing recommendations.
5) If you would like NayaCo to design the album for you, send us the photos you would like to have placed in the album. When doing your own design, please name the files in the order they are to be placed in the album. Each image should be a full cross page spread, with the inside covers being included as pages. In either case, upload the files to us either via our FTP server or send them to us on a CD/DVD.
6) If NayaCo is designing the album, we recommend you send us at least twice as many images as there are pages in the album. It will help the designer if you also include images that can be included but also can be left out. Feel free to place must-have and optional images in separate folders. If you are doing the design, then we expect one image file for every cross page, and if appropriate, one or more for the cover.
7) A 20 page album will contain nine leaves, plus the inside front and inside back cover. The outside covers never count as extra pages, even if they hold images.
8) NayaCo does not count images, but only pages. The number of images on a page is purely a design choice and does not affect the cost of the album.
9) If you are creating the design for the album, name the files containing the cross page images to indicate the sequence desired within the album. Images for the cover should be named as such.
10) NayaCo sells only to professional photographers, and we have our own staff of album designers. We wish you the best of luck and success in your business venture, but NayaCo will not become involved in the relationship between you and the photographer.
11) NayaCo guarantees that its materials will arrive in your hands free of any substantial imperfections. Because of the nature of photographic prints and albums we have no control over the manner in which they are handled, and so cannot extend our guarantee past the point of acceptance.
12) We have a showroom in Burlingame, CA. Our customers are welcome to visit us to view our albums, photo crystal, signature roll, and other products we offer. Please call us at 650-351-6466 to schedule an appointment.
13) All NayaCo album sizes describe the width by the height of a single page. The cover may be somewhat larger, and a full cross page is two pages that would be seen together as a single image when the album is open.
14) Currently, the systems in our photo lab do not accept PDF files, and such files would have to be converted to JPG files before printing. For NayaCo to do this would add to the cost of operations, and result in higher prices for all our customers.
15) The handling of photographic negatives is a very labor intensive process. NayaCo could not offer prints and albums at our low prices if we were to undertake such an activity. We are highly automated, and strive to become more so all the time. The digital revolution is bringing us many benefits, and one of them is the ability to offer high quality flush mount albums at a low cost.
16) NayaCo works only with professional photographers, and would not work directly with a bridal couple for at least two reasons. First, it would take revenue away from our primary customers, professional photographers; and we do not consider that to be a good business practice. Second, we are unwilling to deal with the copyright issue. NayaCo makes a Good Faith assumption that the professional photographer owns the copyright on the images we receive. We must, on the other hand, assume that the bridal couple does not own the copyright on their images, and we are not in a position to judge any assertions to the contrary.
